Summer Pond

Description

This plein-air painting is one of my many attempts at painting my friend’s pond in Westminster, VT.  The pond is usually bursting at the seams with all manner of sounds and small creatures . However, on this summer day there were only a few resident frogs out and they were keeping a low profile.  I was captivated by the reflections on the water and the subtle glow of dappled sunlight hitting the yellowing pond grass. It was time to settle in to paint and soak up the memory of this warm day.
